...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 PM EDT /745 PM CDT/ THIS 

EVENING...



* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.



* WHERE...Portions of Big Bend and Panhandle Florida, including the 

  following counties, in Big Bend Florida, Gadsden and Liberty. In 

  Panhandle Florida, Bay, Calhoun, Jackson and Washington.



* WHEN...Until 845 PM EDT /745 PM CDT/.



* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

  Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of 

  water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 542 PM EDT /442 PM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy

    rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or

    expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    Blountstown, Chattahoochee, Greensboro, Altha, Chason,

    Willis, Chipola, White Pond, Blountstown Airport, Red Oak,

    Clarksville, Sink Creek, Alliance, Henderson Mill, Durham,

    Union City, Camps Head, Macedonia, Nettle Ridge and Selman.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
