...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

...REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNING...



* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.



* WHERE...A portion of southeast Florida, including the following 

  county, Palm Beach.



* WHEN...Until 200 AM EDT.



* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 1205 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges

    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is

    ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.

    Between 5 and 8 inches of rain have fallen over the past

    several hours and roads may still be impassable in spots. Any

    additional rainfall may result in additional flooding.

    Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach, Lighthouse Point, Highland

    Beach, Hillsboro Beach, Boca Del Mar and Fau South Campus.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 

dangers of flooding.
