...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM EDT THIS EVENING...



* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.



* WHERE...A portion of southeast North Carolina, including the 

  following counties, Columbus and Robeson.



* WHEN...Until 930 PM EDT.



* IMPACTS...Water over roadways. 



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 610 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges

    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is

    ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.

    Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen.

  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over

    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    Whiteville, Chadbourn, Fair Bluff, Boardman, Evergreen,

    Southeastern Community College, Barnesville, Cerro Gordo and

    Marietta.
