...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM MST THIS 

AFTERNOON FOR EASTERN PIMA COUNTY...



At 332 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms had produced 

heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain 

have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing. Be especially careful near 

Franco Wash.



HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing

         flash flooding.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,

         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.



Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  Tucson, Drexel Heights, Pascua Pueblo Yaqui Reservation, San 

  Xavier Community, Summit, Tucson International Airport and San 

  Xavier Mission.



This includes Interstate 19 between mile markers 51 and 57.



This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations...

Country Club Rd at Franco Wash and Old Vail COnnection Rd at Franco 

Wash.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
