...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM EDT THIS 

AFTERNOON FOR EASTERN DELAWARE, SOUTH CENTRAL MONTGOMERY AND WESTERN 

PHILADELPHIA COUNTIES...



At 456 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 

that heavy rain was falling across the warned area. Up to 2 inches 

of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches 

are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding has already been 

occurring.



HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.



SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.



IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,

         highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other

         drainage and low lying areas.



Some locations that may experience flash flooding include...

  Philadelphia, Chester, Yeadon, Conshohocken, Folcroft, Swarthmore, 

  Narberth, National Park, East Lansdowne, Morris Park, Drexel Hill 

  and Roxborough.



This includes the following highways...

	Interstate 476 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0 and 13.

	Interstate 76 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 333 and 350.

	Interstate 95 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 5 and 18.

	Interstate 676 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0 and 1.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most 

flood deaths occur in vehicles.



Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
