...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EDT THIS MORNING...



* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.



* WHERE...A portion of east central Florida, including the following 

  counties, Lake and Orange.



* WHEN...Until 700 AM EDT Monday.



* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying 

  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads 

  remain closed due to flooding.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 1252 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in

    the warned area. Flooding impacts will continue over the next

    several hours. Between 10 and 19 inches of rain have fallen.

    Numerous roads remain closed due to standing water and roads

    that are washed out.

  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is

    expected.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    Apopka, Eustis, Tavares, Mount Dora, Mount Plymouth,

    Zellwood, Sorrento and Tangerine.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 

dangers of flooding.



Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become 

unstable and unsafe.
