...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 AM HST THIS MORNING FOR 

THE ISLAND OF MOLOKAI IN MAUI COUNTY...



* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.



* WHERE...The island of Molokai in Maui County.



* WHEN...Until 815 AM HST.



* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in 

  streams.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 521 AM HST, radar indicated heavy showers and

    thunderstorms developing and tracking northeast over Molokai,

    with rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Water levels

    in the Kawela stream remain elevated.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    This includes the entire island of Molokai.





PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone 

to flooding.

persists.
