...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 AM HST SUNDAY FOR THE 

ISLAND OF MOLOKAI IN MAUI COUNTY...



* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.



* WHERE...The island of Molokai in Maui County.



* WHEN...Until 1230 AM HST.



* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in 

  streams.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 911 PM HST, radar indicated heavy showers and

    thunderstorms tracking northeast over eastern Molokai. Rain

    was falling at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    Ualapue, Kamalo, Pukoo, Kalaupapa National Park, Kawela,

    Halawa Valley, Kaunakakai and Kualapuu.





PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone 

to flooding.
