            Highest wind gust observed at the Palmer 

            ASOS (PAAQ) 87 knots (100 mph). This report 

            replaces the previous report for the highest 

            wind gust observed at the Palmer ASOS (PAAQ) 

            of 77 knots (89 mph) at 7:20 pm Dec 6. Also 

            observed was a gust of 82 knots (94 mph) at 

            12:53 pm Dec 6 and 81 knots (93 mph) at 

            10:53 am on Dec 7. Winds gusted in excess of 

            50 mph from approximately 10 pm Fri, Dec 5 

            through 12 am Tue, Dec 9. Sustained winds 

            were generally 40-50 mph. Blowing snow was 

            observed intermittently, reducing visibility 

            as low as half a mile.
