EF0 Tornado confirmed east of New Lebanon in Montgomery County OH.



August 5 update: This statement has been updated to change the

start and end points and times for this tornado, based on

additional corn field damage analyzed from satellite imagery.

Survey Summary:

The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF0 tornado east of

New Lebanon in Montgomery County, Ohio.



The tornado first developed near Stacey Road, moving to the 

north. Corn field damage was evident on satellite imagery, 

beginning just south of Stacey Road. Additional corn field 

damage, with some tree damage, was observed near Germantown 

Liberty Road, south of Forney Road. The tornado then moved due 

north, on a track that closely approximated Snyder Road until 

reaching US Route 35. Along this stretch of Snyder Road, there was

extensive tree damage, including a few large trees uprooted or 

broken near the base. One barn on the east side of Snyder Road 

lost a portion of its roof.



North of US Route 35, some shingle damage occurred at a business,

with a few garage doors damaged at a storage facility. Some 

additional tree damage was noted to the north of these businesses.

Satellite imagery depicted additional corn field damage as the 

tornado progressed to the north, dissipating just east of Snyder 

Road near Old Dayton Road.

County Emergency Management Agency for their coordination.
