The areas affected include...

  Coastal waters from Surf City to Cape Fear NC out 20 nm...



At 415 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms capable 

of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were 

located along a line extending from near The Vicinity Of Sneads 

Ferry Bridge to near Wrightsville Beach, moving east at 15 knots.

  Billy Murrell Reef, Figure Eight Island, Harris Reef, Johnny 

  Mercer Pier, Rich Inlet, Topsail Tire Reef, and Topsail Beach 

  around 420 PM EDT.

  Dallas Rock around 425 PM EDT.

  Topsail Boxcars around 450 PM EDT.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher 

waves, and lightning strikes. If caught on the open water, prepare 

for deteriorating conditions. Make sure you and your crew are 

wearing properly fitted life jackets.
