The areas affected include...

  Waters from Savannah GA to Altamaha Sound GA out 60 NM...



* At 1055 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, 

  capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. 

  These strong thunderstorms were located along a line from 12 NM 

  north of R2 Tower to over Sapelo Buoy S, moving east at 25 knots.



Locations impacted include...

  R2 Tower, Honey Barge, Buoy J, Tug Elmira, Ferry Boat Janet, Grays 

  Reef Buoy, Sapelo Buoy S, Tug Rio Caroni, D R H Buoy, John Bird 

  and A L T Buoy.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or nearest law enforcement 

agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service 

office.



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher 

waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek 

safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
