...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS...



The areas affected include...



  Moriches Inlet to Montauk Point NY out 40 NM...



At 414 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable

of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were

located along a line extending from 12 nm southwest of The Coastal

Waters Southeast Of Block Island to 26 nm southwest of Buoy 44097

Southeast Of Block Island to 32 nm southeast of Buoy 44017, moving

northeast at 30 knots.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher

waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek

safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
