.SYNOPSIS...Scattered showers and thunderstorms will stream 

across the region on the far periphery of Major Hurricane 

Melissa, farther west over the north-central Caribbean near 

Jamaica. Expect moderate to fresh SE to S winds and slightly 

higher seas today through Wed night as Melissa passes well 

northwest of the region. SE to S winds will diminish to gentle to

moderate speeds Thu morning and to light to gentle speeds on Fri.
