.SYNOPSIS...A high pressure ridge will persist across the

northern and central portions tonight, then slowly lift N of the

area Mon into Mon night. Low pressure will develop along a front

Mon off the NE Florida coast, intensify NE across the southern 

waters Mon into Tue, then pass well E of the area by Tue night. 

Strong counterflow to the Gulf Stream will create the potential 

for steeper, breaking waves. The departing low will leave a

stationary front across the central and southern portions Wed 

into Thu, with another low possibly developing off the SE coast.

By Thu and Thu night, a broad, stronger low will approach the 

Mid- Atlantic coast, pulling a strong cold front across the 

waters. The low will track NE of the area Fri and Fri night, with

a series of low pressure troughs or secondary cold fronts moving

E across the area. Hurricane Melissa passes E of the southern 

waters Thu into Fri. Mariners should monitor forecasts from both 

OPC and NHC and consider avoidance plans as needed with the 

potential for multiple impactful systems Mon through Fri night.
