nautical miles including the portion of the Papahanaumokuakea

Marine National Monument east of French Frigate Shoals



Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height

of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than

twice the significant wave height.

.Synopsis for the Hawaiian offshore waters...

A surface ridge over N offshore waters will move to S waters

today as a front approaches from the NW. The strong front will

enter far NW offshore waters Sunday night, then move across the 

area Monday and Tuesday. Surface high pressure will approach from

the W Tuesday night, pass over far N waters Wednesday, then move 

NE of the area Wednesday night. Another large NW swell will pass 

through Monday through Wednesday, and another front will approach

from the NW Thursday.

35 kt. SE half, S to SW winds 10 to 20 kt. Seas 6 to 12 ft, 

highest far NW waters. Isolated thunderstorms far NW waters near 

front.

.MONDAY...Front moving across NW waters. N of front, NW to N 

winds 20 to 35 kt. S of front, S to SW winds 15 to 30 kt, 

strongest along front. Seas 6 to 17 ft, highest far NW waters. 

Isolated thunderstorms along front.

.MONDAY NIGHT...Front moving to central waters. NW half, W winds 

20 to 35 kt N of front, SW winds 15 to 25 elsewhere S of front. 

SE half, S to SW winds 10 to 25 kt, strongest near front. Seas 8 

to 20 ft, highest NW half. Isolated thunderstorms along front.

.TUESDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT...Weakening front moving across
