.Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters...

High pressure will briefly build over the region in the wake of a

dissipating front that is near the Big Island this afternoon. 

Another front is expected to move into the area this weekend into 

early next week. An extra large northwest swell will hold into 

Wednesday, then gradually decline.

.TONIGHT...North winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 11 to 15 feet. Wave

Detail: Northwest 15 feet at 14 seconds and north northwest

3 feet at 4 seconds. 

.WEDNESDAY AND WEDNESDAY NIGHT...East southeast winds 7 to 10 

knots near Kauai...east 10 to 20 knots elsewhere. Seas 11 to 15 

feet, dropping to 9 to 12 feet Wednesday night. Wave Detail: 

Northwest 14 feet at 14 seconds. 

.THURSDAY AND THURSDAY NIGHT...South winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 6

to 9 feet. Wave Detail: Northwest 7 feet at 12 seconds. A slight 

chance of showers. 

.FRIDAY...Near Kauai, southwest winds 10 to 15 knots, becoming 

north 15 to 25 knots. Elsewhere, south southeast winds 10 to 15 

knots, veering to south 5 to 15 knots. Seas building to 10 to 15 

feet. Scattered to numerous showers.

.FRIDAY NIGHT...Southeast winds 7 to 10 knots near the Big

Island...north northeast 15 to 20 knots elsewhere. Seas 10 to

14 feet. Showers likely. 

.SATURDAY...Northeast winds 20 to 25 knots. Seas 9 to 13 feet, 

subsiding to 8 to 11 feet. Numerous heavy showers. 

.SUNDAY...Near the Big Island, east northeast winds 15 to

20 knots, rising to 25 to 30 knots. Elsewhere, east northeast

winds 25 to 30 knots. Seas 10 to 14 feet. Frequent heavy showers.
