Mariners along the Icy Bay coast and outer waters westward to Cape Suckling should expect sustained winds up to Severe Gale with Storm Force gusts up to 55kts. Mariners from Cape Fairweather westward along the coast and outer waters to Yakutat Bay should be aware of minimum sustained Gale force winds with Severe Gale wind gusts up to 45 kts. After this system, additional rounds of strong systems will move move out of the N pacific and quickly move through the Gulf through Friday, once again bringing strong gales or greater to the outer waters and coastal panhandle. This first storm will begin to lift north and move towards Haida Gwaii through Tuesday afternoon, passing over Haida Gwaii by Tuesday night. The winds around this low will begin to be more easterly as the low approaches through Tuesday night, before the wind is expected to shift to a more northeasterly to northerly direction by early Wednesday morning as the low moves inland. After this first system, additional rounds of strong systems will move quickly through the Gulf through Friday, once again bringing strong gales or greater to the southern coastal panhandle.
