.SYNOPSIS FOR THE WESTERN GULF OF ALASKA...



A 1018 mb low develops at 59N 148W Thu afternoon, then drops to

57N 145W at 999 mb by Sat morning, and dissipates in the North 

Pacific by Sat afternoon. The front of a 980 mb North Pacific low

enters the southern Gulf by Sun morning.
