Extreme Heat will continue to be the major weather concern over the coming week. Extreme Heat Warnings and Heat Advisories have been extended through the upcoming weekend to account for this. 3. Persistent hot and dry conditions will also continue to promote the potential for wildfires with cured fuels. && .DISCUSSION... A dominant ridge of high pressure will continue to promote dangerously hot conditions across interior California. While temperatures will moderate a bit today and tomorrow, they look to increase again Friday into the weekend, with probabilities of 105 to 110 degrees increasing, especially across the Indian Wells Valley and Mojave Desert. Due to the high confidence in continuation of these temperatures, little overnight relief rom the heat, and multiple days of Major to Extreme Heat Risk, the Extreme Heat Warning and Heat Advisories have been extended through the upcoming weekend. Be especially mindful of heat if you have outdoor plans this weekend. Drink plenty of fulids and avoid being outdoors during the hottest time of the day. In addition to dangerous temperatures, persistent hot and dry conditions will promote the potential for fire starts, especially in fine fuels that have recently cured in the heat. Light winds will be a bit of a limiting factor to rapid fire spread, but the potential is high for new fire starts. Patchy smoke may also become an issue from nearby larger fires, though the areas that may be impacted appear rather limited. && .AVIATION...
