(This evening through next Sunday) WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW: After a wet end to the weekend the region will dry out for the foreseeable future. Ridging over the Pacific will build into the western CONUS this week. Northwest flow through the profile in the northeastern flank of the ridge will keep temperatures for northern and central NV cool through Tuesday. By Wednesday flow over the area takes a more zonal component allowing temperatures to warm gradually through the rest of the week to near seasonal temperatures in the upper 50s and lower 60s. The building ridge and associated high pressure center are persistent, taking position over the southwest CONUS into next weekend. Ensemble clusters are in good agreement that the ridge will maintain its place over the region through Sunday. Ensembles don't show any movement of the ridge or potential weather pattern change until middle of the week next week. FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS: High confidence in dry conditions and warming temperatures as high pressure builds into the western CONUS this week.
