- Slightly cooler highs are expected today and again tomorrow

  though from Friday onwards, the near-record highs return.



- Red Flag Warnings are in place the central Divide from 1 PM to

  8 PM. Localized critical fire weather conditions will occur

  elsewhere across the region.



- Isolated showers and storms may return next week.

HOT AND DRY CONDITIONS CONTINUE:



High pressure remains to our south and with west through

northwesterly flow, moisture will also stay to the south. What

this means for us is hot temperatures continue with the usual

afternoon breezes. Highs will remain above normal for the

foreseeable future though they will be slightly cooler today 

and tomorrow precluding any heat products. However, Friday 

onwards, temperatures increase and we will likely need some 

products then. As far as precip goes, might see a stray 

shower/storm over the weekend but with such dry sub-levels, do 

not anticipate anything reaching the ground so the main concern 

will be some gusty outflow winds and lightning. We might see 

some changes next week as models are hinting at some moisture 

sneaking up underneath the high bringing more isolated to 

scattered showers and storms.

VFR conditions continue for the next 24 hours. Some smoke will 

remain across the area thanks to wildfires but do not expect any

restrictions to visibilities. Some afternoon gusts of 20 to 

30kts will be possible.

Hot and dry conditions will persist through the week. Red Flag 

Warnings remain in effect for CO zones 205 and 293 from 1 PM to

8 PM today. Localized critical fire weather conditions are 

possible in other areas. Afternoon wind gusts are expected to 

become weaker later this week as high pressure builds. Wetting 

rains are not expected throughout the work week and into the 

weekend.
