KEY MESSAGES: - Seasonably cool temperatures with breezy conditions are expected through most of the week. WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW: Stacked low over the Canadian prairies will be slow to move eastward with a blocking high over eastern Canada. Through midweek the trough extending south across the plains will stretch and under cut the Canadian high and allow high pressure to build into the western states. A Pacific shortwave moving through the Pacific Northwest will slide along the Canadian border and push a weak front across eastern Montana on Wednesday night. Not a lot of moisture with the system, but a few showers are possible, mainly in the along the Canadian border. Ridge rebounds behind the shortwave into the weekend with potential for rain and snow at the beginning of next week. FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS: Lowered day 1 min temperatures.
