The 500 mb heights are forecast to be in the 582-584 dam range which places them in the 95-99th percentile through Tuesday before the ridge flattens a bit mid to late next week. Daytime highs will be 10-20 degrees above average for mid December, with mostly clear skies other than some high clouds late Saturday into Sunday. Many locations will be within a few degrees of record high territory. Winds will be light through Tuesday, then increase by mid to late week as the ridge flattens, becoming mainly southwest 10-20 mph. && .AVIATION...Friday 12/06Z through Saturday 13/06Z...VFR conditions and light/variable winds expected through the period.
