.SYNOPSIS...High pressure will continue to bring much above 

normal temperatures and dry weather across the region into next 

week.

.DISCUSSION...An anomalously strong high pressure system will

remain in control of the weather across central and northern 

Arizona for the next week, with only minor day-to-day changes in 

temperatures. The 500 mb heights are forecast to be in the 582-584

dam range which places them in the 95-99th percentile through

Tuesday before the ridge flattens a bit mid to late next week. 

Daytime highs will be 10-20 degrees above average for mid

December, with mostly clear skies other than some high clouds late

Saturday into Sunday. Many locations will be within a few degrees

of record high territory. Winds will be light through Tuesday, 

then increase by mid to late week as the ridge flattens, becoming 

mainly southwest 10-20 mph.

.AVIATION...Friday 12/06Z through Saturday 13/06Z...VFR conditions

and light/variable winds expected through the period. Localized NE

breezes possible between until 16Z downwind of higher terrain. 



OUTLOOK...Saturday 13/06Z through Monday 15/06Z...VFR conditions

conditions expected, with increasing high clouds on Sunday. Light

and variable winds forecast through the weekend.

.FIRE WEATHER...Friday and Saturday...Dry and warm conditions 

continue with temperatures reaching 10-20 degrees above average. 

Light and variable daytime winds around 5 to 15 mph each day. 

Minimum RH values 15-35% each afternoon.



Sunday through Tuesday...Dry and warm conditions will continue into 

next week with temperatures 10-15 degrees above average Sunday and 

Monday and 10-20 degrees above average on Tuesday. Light and 

variable daytime winds around 5 to 15 mph each day. Minimum RH 

values between 20-35% Sunday and Monday, and 15-25% on Tuesday.
