(Saturday night through next Friday) Issued at 1152 PM CST Thu Dec 11 2025 A broad area of low pressure across the Midwest will send a strong cold front through our area late Saturday night into Sunday morning. This will usher in much colder conditions across the Big Country for Sunday morning. Much of the model guidance depicts low temperatures in the middle 20s to 32 degrees. Strong northerly winds behind the frontal boundary could be sustained in the 15 to 20 MPH range. This will create wind chill (what it actually feels like) readings down into the teens. Afternoon highs on Sunday will be much cooler area wide with most models forecasting highs between 43 and 47 degrees. Sunday night will also be cold with most locations sitting in the upper 20s to near freezing. Afterwards, a minor upper level disturbance is shown moving across Texas. However, any precipitation will be off to the south and southeast of our area. Some lingering cloud cover will be the only change this system will bring. Otherwise, expect temperatures to quickly warm back up through the remainder of the work week. && .AVIATION...
