(Tonight through Friday) Issued at 1119 AM CST Thu Dec 11 2025 Expect warm and dry conditions to prevail through Friday, along with persistent south to southwesterly flow over the region through Friday morning. Overnight lows tonight will remain above freezing in the mid 30s to mid 40s, and afternoon highs for Friday are expected to reach into the mid 60s to mid 70s. Breezy south to southwesterly winds, with gusts as high as 25 mph today will subside by late this afternoon and become generally light and variable through the overnight period. Models are showing breezy conditions developing again late Friday morning into Friday afternoon. && .LONG TERM... (Friday night through next Thursday) Issued at 102 PM CST Thu Dec 11 2025 Temperatures will be well-above normal Saturday, with highs ranging from the upper 60s/lower 70s in the Big Country, to the mid 70s across most of the southern half of our area. Light winds will become south-southwest ahead of a stronger cold front approaching from the north. This cold front will push south into the Big Country by late afternoon and early evening, and then move south through the rest of our area prior to Midnight. This will bring a brief shot of colder air to our area for Sunday. Gusty north to northeast winds will follow passage of this front and continue during the day Sunday. Morning lows Sunday will range from the upper 20s in the northern Big Country, to upper 30s in our southern counties. Wind chill values in the 6 AM to 9 AM time frame are expected to be in the teens to lower 20s in the Big Country, mid 20s to near 30 in our central counties, and mid to upper 30s for our southern counties. Afternoon highs will range from the lower 40s in the northern Big Country, to lower 50s in our far southern counties. Winds will drop off Sunday evening. For Sunday night, increasing cloud cover will limit how much temperatures drop off. Overnight lows are expected to be mostly in the upper 20s to mid 30s. South winds will return Monday, and skies will be mostly cloudy with increasing low-level moisture. A shortwave upper trough is progged to move east or southeast into the southern Rockies Monday, and into our area on Tuesday. With weak lift and limited moisture, only expecting our area to have increased cloud cover with minimal rain chances.
