Updated at 1233 PM CDT Wed Jul 2 2025 - Low to medium (20-50%) chances for isolated to scattered showers and storms continue through the week into the weekend. - Below normal temperatures continue through Friday, returning to normal this weekend into next week. && .NEAR TERM... (Today and tonight) Issued at 1240 AM CDT Wed Jul 2 2025 A weak surface high across the Texas Panhandle will help transport moisture into our area. Showers and thunderstorms are possible this morning through the afternoon hours, mainly across western Oklahoma and western north Texas. Some of this activity may make its way into southern and central Oklahoma as well. Given the weak parameter space, severe weather is not expected. The aforementioned moisture advection will help foster cloudy skies today and tonight. That being said, afternoon highs will stay in the mid 80s for most locations. Overnight lows will get down into the low 70s. Bunker && .SHORT TERM... There is the possibility for these rain/thunderstorms chances to be more widespread, but models differ on track/strength of the mid-level wave at this time. High temperatures overall will stay in the mid to upper 80s through the end of the week, with overnight lows in the 70s. Bunker && .LONG TERM... (Saturday through Tuesday) Issued at 1240 AM CDT Wed Jul 2 2025 Low rain chances will continue through the weekend and into next week. A mid-level ridge will build in over the Four Corners region during the weekend and remain in place through the early part of next week. (18Z TAFS) Issued at 1233 PM CDT Wed Jul 2 2025 Primarily VFR conditions have been noted across the area, though occasional dips into MVFR territory are possible when isolated showers pass over a site. Showers should taper off for a while tonight. Tomorrow, it looks like rather widespread stratus will be expected to develop between 10Z and 12Z. Went with MVFR in the TAFs, but guidance did suggest IFR conditions were possible in central Oklahoma. Winds will remain out of the south. Meister && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
