Issued at 1254 AM CST Thu Nov 5 2026 Current surface observations as of just after 12 AM CST early Thursday morning continue to show expanding dense fog across the Mississippi River delta, isolated portions of Arkansas, and a few locations in Tennessee. A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for eastern Arkansas through the mid-morning on Thursday for the potential of a quarter of a mile visibility or less. An upper lvl disturbance will be approaching the region but will lack the moisture needed to bring the state respectable PoP chances; therefore, this associated frontal boundary will be a dry cold front which will move across the state overnight into the early morning hours on Friday. A much colder airmass will begin funneling into the state during the day on Friday which will keep high temperatures in check on Friday across northwestern and north-central Arkansas only peaking in the upper 50s to low 60s. Into the weekend, high temperatures across the state will lower to values normal for this time of the year. Low temperatures will be slightly colder than average compared to normals for this time of the year. Additionally, frost and some freeze products will likely be needed Saturday, Sunday, and Monday morning across the state. A region of surface high pressure will settle into the region and weather conditions are expected to remain fair and dry overall for the remainder of the forecast period. A note that temperatures overall will begin a process of rebounding by the middle of next week with respect to both low and high temperatures to above average temperatures statewide. && .AVIATION... (06Z TAFS) Issued at 1119 PM CST Wed Nov 4 2026 Fog will begin to build in to the region shortly after issuance. The footprint and density remains uncertain, but most widespread and thickest fog will be along and east of the I-30/57 corridor and deteriorate VISBYs further east towards the MS River. After sunrise and approaching front out of the NW will drive some light winds into the region and quickly improve VISBYs at any fogged in terminals by mid morning. A stray light shower will be possible in W AR with this but coverage will be extremely limited. && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
