Issued at 154 PM CDT Sun Mar 22 2026 Through Monday: Latest surface analysis had a center of high pressure over the northern Gulf and a cold front across the mid Mississippi valley and across the Texas panhandle. The pressure gradient between the two features was helping result in a warm breezy southwest wind this afternoon. The cold front will lose its upper level support and slowly move into our northwest zones tonight as a dry cold front. By sunrise the cold front is expected to be just south of our Highway 82 zones and then just push southeast of our southeast most zones by sunset. The cooler air in the wake of the cold front will hold our north and central zones in the 70s while the remainder of the CWA warms in the 80s again ahead of the fropa. Despite the cooler temperatures in the north Monday, warmer than normal temperatures will continue tonight and Monday. /22/ Monday night through Saturday: Persistent warm and quiet conditions will continue through the extended period. A weak shortwave disturbance will swing east of the CWA on Tuesday, bringing an isolated shower (<= 15% PoPs) chances over northeast MS. Surface ridging over the eastern CONUS will keep high/low temps near to above average as the week progress. A dry frontal boundaries will push through the area Friday, resulting in average temps for the weekend. /SW/ && .AVIATION...
