FXUS64 KJAN 221224 AAA AFDJAN Area Forecast Discussion...UPDATED National Weather Service Jackson MS 724 AM CDT Sun Mar 22 2026 ...New AVIATION... .KEY MESSAGES... - Warm and dry weather will continue through next weekend. && .DISCUSSION... Issued at 152 AM CDT Sun Mar 22 2026 An anomalously strong upper-level ridge will remain centered over the Southwest and Intermountain West through the week ahead, dominating the weather pattern for much of the country. Primarily this pattern will support regional temperatures at or above normal for late March. Even weak, mostly dry cold front passages tomorrow morning and this Friday will only push temperatures down towards normal values. Daily temperature anomalies will range from 10-15 degrees on the warmest days this week. The warm weather and sustained dry conditions will enhance the drying of fuel moisture this week. Any breezier days will likely contribute to more difficult fire containment. At this time, critical fire weather conditions are not being forecast, but it remains a concern whenever warm and dry weather persist at this time of year. Heed any burn bans in place, and be careful with burning activities near dry vegetation. /NF/ && .AVIATION...
