(Tonight) Issued at 158 PM CDT Thu Jul 3 2025 Forecast remains on track for tonight. High pressure in place will keep conditions dry, and winds light and variable. Diurnal Cu will fade with sunset, leaving skies mostly clear. Temperatures this evening for any outdoor holiday events will be in the lower 80s to upper 70s, otherwise lows will reach the upper 60s to lower 70s overnight. && .SHORT TERM... (Friday through Sunday) Issued at 1014 AM CDT Thu Jul 3 2025 High pressure will continue to influence the forecast through the holiday weekend. We will remain dry tomorrow, July 4th, with an abundance of sunshine and highs in the lower 90s. For fireworks, the forecast will be in good shape with light winds, mostly clear skies, and temperatures in the lower 80s to upper 70s. The ridge will shift eastward and weaken this weekend as a few shortwaves runs into it. Dry conditions will hold on through most of the weekend with a very low chance (10-15%) of showers and storms Sunday afternoon. An increase in moisture will push dewpoints back into the 70s, thus increasing heat index values to 95-101 degrees both days.
