  morning.



- Periods of showers and a few thunderstorms return over the

  weekend. Severe weather is not expected at this time.

Surface high pressure will build into the region from the

northwest today. This will shunt a front, responsible for

Wednesday and Wednesday night's stormy weather, farther south. As

a result, lingering shower and thunderstorm activity is forecast

to end around mid to late this morning.



A series of shortwave troughs will move across the Gulf Coast

region this weekend, resulting in spells of showers and a few

thunderstorms. The overall pattern isn't too conducive for severe

thunderstorms, especially given signals of minimal instability,

but we'll keep an eye out for any changes.



Otherwise, no temperature extremes are noted over the next seven

days. High and low temperatures will be seasonal.

Surface high pressure will gradually build into the region today,

nudging a surface front and its precipitation farther south. Rain

showers and drizzle are forecast to end by or around 15z this

morning. MVFR-IFR ceilings become VFR during the afternoon.



Note: AMD NOT SKED will continue for TCL due to intermittent

observations.

Showers and thunderstorms will end early this morning. After a

brief rain-free period on Friday, spells of showers and a few

thunderstorms will return for the weekend. Clear weather should

return on Monday and persist for a few days. There are no MinRH

or high wind issues for the next week.
