Issued at 210 AM CDT Fri May 9 2025 Mid-level and surface ridging is taking control of the region early this morning in the wake of yesterday's system. Mostly sunny skies will bump temperatures back into the 70s and low 80s this afternoon. Dry conditions and above-normal daytime temperatures continue through the weekend with highs in the upper 70s to mid 80s. Low- level flow increases from the south Monday as an upper low lifts north across the Mississippi Valley. The track of this system should remain far enough east to keep dry conditions in place. Shortwave ridging moves overhead Tuesday ahead of a longwave trough across the western CONUS. Temperatures warm into the 80s Tuesday with 90s in play for Wednesday and Thursday. The aforementioned western trough ejects across the Plains Wednesday into Thursday, but ensembles show a low probability (~10%) of any measurable precipitation with the ejection of this trough. && .AVIATION /12Z TAFS THROUGH 12Z SATURDAY/...
