FXUS63 KMKX 272012 AFDMKX Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI 312 PM CDT Mon Oct 27 2025 .KEY MESSAGES... - Small Craft Advisory for nearshore waters through Friday morning, due to gusty onshore winds and building waves, that will become offshore and remain breezy late in the week. - Shower chances linger for Tuesday into Wednesday, though uncertain with these chances as dry easterly flow may limit the eastward extent of any showers. There is additional uncertainty with precipitation chances later in the week. && .SHORT TERM... Issued 242 PM CDT Mon Oct 27 2025 Tonight through Tuesday night: High pressure will continue to keep conditions dry overnight. Clouds are expected to increase overnight as a frontal boundary moves in from the west. While the frontal boundary is expected to draw close through tomorrow, remnant dry air from the high is expected to keep low levels dry. Most of the fgen and isentropic uplift along the frontal boundary is expected to remain centered over Iowa and Minnesota, but the atmosphere may saturate enough over southwest Wisconsin to bring a glancing blow of rain southwest of Madison. CMiller && .LONG TERM... Issued 311 PM CDT Mon Oct 27 2025 Wednesday through Monday: Cyclogenesis over Missouri is expected to pull the surface trough/frontal boundary to our south and east heading through Wednesday. While the low shifts south and east of the state, we'll remain dry Wednesday into mid Friday as most of the necessary lift for rain moves through the Ohio River Valley and towards the east coast. Heading into the weekend some uncertainty remains regarding how a few waves coming out of Alberta will interact with the large low over the east coast. For now, slight chance (15%) to chance (30-40%) PoPs linger through the weekend, with the best chances on Sunday. CMiller && .AVIATION...
