Mid and upper level ridging will amplify over the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley Friday and Saturday. In the lower levels, high pressure gradually shifts off to the east. This period continues to look dry, but hotter with highs in the low to mid 90s. In particular, highs should reach the low 90s in most places on the Fourth of July. Skies look mostly sunny, with a light wind from the east. Sunday - Tuesday... Ridging aloft is gradually suppressed to the southern part of the US Sunday and early next week, with an active storm track featuring multiple shortwave disturbances rotating across the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes. Sunday could still end up mostly dry and hot, with just a small chance for rain in southern Indiana. However, rain chances go up early next week due to a cold front pushing in from the northwest. Increasing low-level moisture/humidity will also generally make conditions fairly unpleasant once again, with a diurnal uptick in convective activity. && .AVIATION /00Z TAFS THROUGH 06Z FRIDAY/...
