Issued at 303 AM EDT Fri May 9 2025 An upper level ridge will build east downstream of an amplifying deep upper trof along the west North American coast. This upper ridge will cause temperatures to rise much above normal across the Upper Midwest into the Midwest early next week. High temperatures should reach the mid 70s Saturday and then rise into the lower 80s Monday. In addition to the warm temperatures, rain chances will begin late Monday night and persist through the middle of next week as energy from a cut off low south of the Ohio River drifts north. Low level moisture flux across the Ohio River valley will be increasing with this system. There is likely to be a diurnal flare with showers and storms from 3pm to 9pm according to past climatology. For Thursday and Friday next week, was a little hesitant to keep the very warm blend temperatures from 85 to 88 degrees. For Fort Wayne, 86 degrees is already in the 97th percentile for May 12th through the 16th. However, with the anomalous upper level ridge building into the Upper Midwest and Midwest, these warm temperatures are likely to be realized with 3 consecutive days with afternoon relatively dipping to between 30 and 40 percent. && .AVIATION /00Z TAFS THROUGH 00Z SATURDAY/...
