Very dry atmosphere will slowly moisten late tonight as moisture 

pools in front of advancing cold front. Temperatures are expected

to fall into the 30s across the northern tier with some scattered

frost possible, but light winds should mitigate stronger

radiational cooling. 



The front moves through Saturday morning with just enough moisture

and lift to produce a slight chance of showers, mostly across the

northern half of the forecast area, then more cool and dry air

moves in with another chance for frost formation Saturday night

across the northern zones.



An upper low will move northeast from the Gulf Coast as a strong

western CONUS trough pushes east early next week, with upper

height falls and low level moisture returning for some diurnally

enhanced showers and thunderstorms for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Regional radar shows a broken line of showers moving southeast

across northern Wisconsin. This precipitation is associated with a

weak cold front that will move across the terminals around 12z.

Current thinking is that the precipitation will be very spotty by

the time it moves into central Lower and we have not included it

in the TAFs. Winds will become northwesterly and gusty behind the

front.

Saturday afternoon and evening, then decrease again on Sunday into

early next week.
