Issued at 235 AM EDT Wed May 6 2026 - Frost and Freeze Conditions Early Thursday Another round of frost and freeze conditions is expected tonight into Thursday morning. 925 temperatures around 1 to 2C with a weak to moderate inversion, clearing skies, and light winds will cause temperatures to drop into the low to mid 30s across the area. Another Frost Advisory and Freeze Warning will be needed. Continue to take actions to protect any sensitive vegetation. - Cool with Occasional Rain Chances The upper level low will remain over the Hudson Bay area keeping troughing over the Great Lakes. Several shortwave troughs are expected to bring chances for rain through the weekend. Troughing will also keep the cooler temperatures in place with highs in the 50s to low 60s. The only exception will be Saturday where highs could approach 70. Lows will be in the 30s and 40s with northern portions of the forecast area likely to see continued frost concerns. Any rainfall looks to be light with probabilities of an inch or more in 72 hours less than 20 percent through the forecast period. Ensembles are in agreement overall with rain chances other than some slight timing differences. The best chances (50 percent) for rain will be along and south of I-94 Friday afternoon and evening as a vorticity maximum tracks largely south of the area and then Saturday night into early Sunday morning mainly along and south of I-96. && .AVIATION /18Z TAFS THROUGH 18Z THURSDAY/...
