(Today through Tuesday) Issued at 118 AM EDT Mon Oct 27 2025 One more unsettled day ahead for South FL before much improved conditions arrive. A surface low is moving across the northeast Gulf this morning. A shortwave centered over the TN valley will move eastward throughout the day. With the trough axis just to our west, plenty of deeper moisture and upper level support will help aid in additional shower and thunderstorm development today. With the heavy rainfall experience overnight across portions of the metro, any additional heavy rainfall today may result in localized urban and poor drainage flooding. High temps today will generally range from 85-90. As the surface low moves off the SE US coast this evening, a frontal boundary associated with that system will start to slide down the state of FL crossing South FL by late in the evening on Tuesday. The shortwave trough axis will also cross the area during the day on Tuesday. This will start to bring drier air into the region. With some residual moisture in place during the first half of the day, scattered showers will remain possible overnight tonight into early Tuesday, however chances decrease as the day progresses. High temps on Tuesday will again range from 85-90 across South FL. && .LONG TERM... (Tuesday night through Sunday) Issued at 118 AM EDT Mon Oct 27 2025 The first prolonged stretch of fall like weather arrives in South FL mid week and will last through next weekend. An upper level trough will dig down from the northern Plains and eventually spread over the eastern US. At the surface, a couple of fronts associated with systems moving from the TN valley into the Mid Atlantic region will cross South FL to reinforce the drier air. The first front will arrive by early Thursday, and then another front is projected to arrive during the first half of the weekend. Mainly dry and pleasant conditions are expected across the area, with highs in the 70s to around 80, and lows in the 50s/60s. Dewpoints by the end of the week will fall into the 50s. && .AVIATION...
