These conditions may worsen over the next several days. && .DISCUSSION... Issued at 1026 AM EDT Sun Mar 22 2026 We don't need to tell you about the great weekend weather we've been having! Low level ridge is settling across South Florida and the Florida Keys. This is keep the low levels stable with an inversion noted on this morning's balloon launch. Meanwhile, in the mid and upper levels we have a shortwave ridge just off to our west. This is not only helping to steer any energy to our northeast, but is compounding to the already stable atmosphere. Lastly, we measured a PWat of just 0.58", which is shy of the 10th percentile. All of this to say, we're not expecting any precipitation for today. Therefore, no changes needed or planned this cycle. && .MARINE... Issued at 1026 AM EDT Sun Mar 22 2026 High pressure settling across the area will lead to a gradual slackening of breezes this afternoon. Expect gentle to occasionally moderate breezes to relax to light to gentle during the afternoon. Thereafter, the high will support a stagnant pattern of generally light to gentle north to northeast breezes, gradually veering to the northeast to east. && .AVIATION... (15Z TAFS) Issued at 1026 AM EDT Sun Mar 22 2026 VFR conditions will prevail through this afternoon and evening with slackening, generally northerly breezes. That being said, winds will go variable at times, especially this afternoon. && .PREV DISCUSSION... Issued at 510 AM EDT Sun Mar 22 2026 Another night of uneventful weather in the Florida Keys. KBYX has remained shower-free overnight with Nighttime Microphysics revealing mostly clear skies. Temperatures along the island chain are near 70 with dewpoints in the lower 60s. Across the Reef, gentle northeasterly breezes are being observed. Similarly to yesterday, the 00z sounding measured very limited precipitable water in our profile. Therefore, another day of clear skies and near nil rain chances is expected. A weak subtropical ridge will continue to dominate the pattern across the Keys this week, maintaining northeasterly light to gentle breezes. Dry air associated with this will support stable and dry conditions, including near nil rain chances and mostly clear skies. && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
