Increased precipitation chances and amounts Thursday night into Friday across portions of the area. Increased cloud cover during this time as well. && .KEY MESSAGES... 1) Several rounds of precipitation are expected over the next week. 2) Temperatures will be around normal to below normal this next week. && .DISCUSSION... KEY MESSAGE 1) Outside of a few spotty sprinkles possible north of I-70 this afternoon, expect dry conditions through the day on Thursday. Increased precipitation chances with the potential for a band of rain showers Thursday night into Friday. Also increased QPF and sky cover as well from the NBM. Precipitation will be more widespread Friday night. There is the potential that rain lingers a little longer than the NBM is indicating on Saturday, however confidence was not high enough to make changes during that time. Another system will move through Sunday into Sunday night. Monday and Monday night look dry at this time. There is more uncertainty with Tuesday into Wednesday, however there are some solutions indicating additional precipitation chances during this time as well. KEY MESSAGE 2) Lows in a few spots will drop down into the 30s tonight. Have some patchy frost in a few typically colder spots east of Columbus, however some cloud cover will also be possible. Below normal temperatures through Friday will come closer to normal values over the weekend. Temperatures are expected to drop below normal again for Monday and Tuesday before moderating to come closer to normal on Wednesday. && .AVIATION /00Z THURSDAY THROUGH MONDAY/... VFR conditions will prevail through the TAF period, with expansive mid clouds (as well as some low and high clouds as well) expected through about 06z before skies become a bit clearer thereafter. However, skies may not go completely clear before some more mid clouds move in around 12z and diurnally-driven Cu sprouts up again by 16z. Clouds will be on the increase from the NW toward the end of the period, along with the potential for ISO SHRA past 00z, particularly for KDAY. Light NW winds of 5kts or less will be maintained through the morning before increasing to 10-12kts, with gusts of 15-18kts, by the afternoon. Winds will subside quickly and go out of the SW at 6-8kts by 00z.
