No changes in the forecast at this time. && .KEY MESSAGES... 1) Well above normal temperatures are expected to continue through the end of the week. 2) A cold front pushes through today with rain showers. More unsettled wet weather is forecast through the weekend as an upper low passes overhead. && .DISCUSSION... KEY MESSAGE 1... Today will be another warm day, with highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s for most of the area. Even with mostly cloudy conditions and rain showers ahead of an approaching cold front, temperatures remain warm. KEY MESSAGE 2... The aforementioned cold front will move through the region on today, with widespread rain showers this morning and then drying out later this afternoon. Most of the area should stay dry Friday, with possibly showers continuing across the Poconos and southern Catskills as a wave of low pressure tracks along the Mid Atlantic Coast. Shower potential will increase again Saturday morning from west to east, as the upper level low tracks into the area and slowly pushes through, with isolated to scattered showers lingering until Sunday morning. Another trough dropping southeast out of Canada will bring another chance for showers late Sunday night into Monday, with lake enhancement adding to the shower potential. && .AVIATION /12Z THURSDAY THROUGH MONDAY/... Scattered showers still moving through the region this morning resulting in some MVFR restrictions. Ceiling restrictions may linger into the afternoon but a gradual improvement trend should occur. High confidence for a gradual wind shift to more southwesterly or westerly throughout the day. Low potential for additional MVFR restrictions to form near KAVP tonight. Outlook... Friday...
