Through 630 am, scattered showers will drift slowly east or remain 

nearly stationary across portions of Florida Bay, the nearshore Gulf 

waters, Hawk Channel, central Florida Straits, and the Lower and 

Middle Keys. The stronger activity will produce moderate to heavy 

downpours reducing visibility and wind gusts up to 20 knots. An 

occasional lightning strike cannot be ruled out.
