Through 530 am, isolated showers will move northwest at near 10 

knots through the eastern Straits of Florida towards the Upper Keys 

and its nearshore waters. Mariners encountering this activity can 

expect bouts of moderate to heavy rainfall reducing visibilities, 

wind gusts up to 20 to 25 knots, and possibly a few lightning 

strikes. Island communities near Key Largo may receive up to an

additional quarter of an inch of rainfall.
