WARNING FOR LAND AREAS

	
A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAIN IN FORCE FOR THE NIUAS LAND AREAS.

		

SITUATION

	
A ridge of high-pressure extends onto the southern waters of Tonga from the southeast, continues to circulate a warm moist east to northeasterly wind flow which will associated with cloudy condition and developing showers for the Niuas and Vava'u today.

		

FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT TONIGHT FOR TONGA

	
FOR THE NIUAS AND VAVA'U:
Moderate to fresh easterly wind, strong at times over the Niuas.
Cloudy periods with scattered showers.

FOR HA'APAI, TONGATAPU AND 'EUA:
Light to moderate east to northeast winds.
Mainly fine apart from cloudy periods with possible few showers.

		

OUTLOOK FOR WEDNESDAY

	
FOR ALL OF TONGA:
Moderate to fresh east to southeast winds, strong at times over the Niuas and Vava'u.
Mainly fine apart from cloudy periods with possible isolated showers especially to the Niuas and Vava'u.

FOR THE NIUAS COASTAL WATERS:
Easterly winds 15-20 knots, then rising to 25-30 knots. Moderate to rough seas (up to 3 metres).

FOR VAVA'U, HA'APAI, TONGATAPU AND 'EUA COASTAL WATERS:
East to northeast winds 10-20 knots. Moderate seas (up to 2 metres).

FOR TELE-KI-TONGA AND TELE-KI-TOKELAU COASTAL WATERS:
Northeasterly winds 10-15 knots. Slight seas (up to 1.5 metres).
