Situation: A trough of low pressure lies slow moving over the country

and is gradually drifting eastwards away from the group. Associated

cloud and showers are expected to affect the northern and eastern

parts of the group till tonight. Meanwhile, a moist easterly wind

flow prevails over the country.



Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group:

Cloudy periods with some showers and isolated afternoon heavy falls

with possible thunderstorm over interior and eastern parts of

Macuata, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove including Taveuni and nearby

smaller islands, Interior and eastern parts of Viti Levu [from

Serua-Namosi, through Navua-Suva-Nausori up to Tailevu-North], Lau

and Lomaiviti groups.

Elsewhere, cloudy periods with isolated afternoon or evening showers

and possible thunderstorms.

Isolated heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying and

flood prone areas.

Moderate easterly winds.

Moderate seas.



Outlook for Wednesday  : Cloudy periods with some showers about the

Interior and eastern parts of Viti Levu [from Navua to Suva through

Nausori up to Rakirakii], Southern Bua, Cakaudrove including Taveuni

and nearby smaller islands, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau

and Lomaiviti groups.

Elsewhere, fine apart from afternoon or evening showers and possible

thunderstorms.

Moderate to fresh easterly winds.

Moderate to rough seas.
