FNUS76 KMFR 070339 FWSMFR Spot Forecast for Wildhorse Prescribed Burn...USFS National Weather Service MEDFORD OR 839 PM PDT Wed May 6 2026 Forecast is based on ignition time of 1000 PDT on May 07. If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION...Over the next week, SW Oregon will see little day-to-day variability except with respect to the marine layer. Overall, expect it to be sunny at the burn elevation most of the time Thursday with marine layer clouds pushing back to near the coast, but then returning at night. I should note that these clouds won't be deep enough to make it to this elevation (they'll remain along the coast), but some high clouds could accompany a weak front that will pass through Friday. This front will very likely move through dry (precip chances <10%). Flow will become mostly offshore Sat, but could turn onshore again Sat night/Sun. Warmer, dry afternoons are expected early-mid next week. Next chance at precip won't come until sometime late next week -- maybe by Thu-Sat, May 14-16 - this looks like more of a convective pattern, which means possible showers/t-storms. Just where exactly they set up, however, remains uncertain. .THURSDAY May 7... Sky/weather.........Sunny. Chance of lightning.0 percent. Max temperature.....69. Min humidity........25-30 percent.
