.DISCUSSION...High pressure is currently centered over California,

resulting in a dry and mild northwest flow over Utah. Despite

increasing stability, transport winds should remain high enough

today for afternoon clearing indices around 500. The ridge will

continue east over the next couple of days, moving over Utah by

Thursday. This will result in increasing stability and decreasing

transport winds, dropping clearing indices to values well below

500. A cooler and more unsettled pattern will develop early next

week, allowing clearing indices to rise again.
