precipitation and cloudy skies in the forecast through tonight. 

Westerly winds of about 20 mph will persist through the 

afternoon. High pressure builds on Tuesday. A shortwave on 

Wednesday may provide some light showers in the mountains, but the

next significant precipitation system isn't expected until next 

weekend, when another albeit weaker atmospheric river system 

arrives.
