around the noon hour, bringing an increase in south to southwest 

winds later this morning or early afternoon. The air-mass change, 

along with the winds, will also finally help mix out the 

persistent valley inversions that have been around the past few 

days. A ridge of high pressure will return Friday, likely 

allowing at least weak inversions to re-establish themselves, 

especially by Saturday.
